Barribal Injured In Practice

Posted by: Fetch

Minnesota Gopher Senior forward Jay Barribal suffered a knee injury in practice yesterday, according to the Twitter account of Gopher Puck Live. He will miss this weekend’s series vs. Wisconsin and be evaluated thereafter.

This comes as a big blow to the Gophers, who have struggled offensively thus far this season. Barribal is 3rd in the team with 2 goals, behind Tony Lucia and Mike Hoeffel, who each have 3.

Update: Barribal will probably be asking the NCAA for a medical redshirt and he will finish his college hockey career in 2010-11
