Hahhhhhvahd 4, Union 1: Union had a 10 game unbeaten streak this year in ECAC Hockey, and before last night was the only team to have not lost a conference game. Ryan Carroll almost singlehandedly stopped that, stopping 47 of Union’s 48 shots. Jason Walters had the lone Union goal
Cornell 1, North Dakota 0: The Sioux had gone unbeaten in 6 nonconference games this year, but again a herculean effort by a goaltender ended that. Ben Scrivens had 28 saves for the Big Red as he moved into 2nd place on Cornell’s all time shutouts list. Worth noting: although he only made 14 saves, Aaron Dell looked pretty good in net.
St. Cloud State 4, Minnesota 3: In what has grown into one of the better WCHA rivalries, the Huskies got the leg up in round one. 7 different players scored in this game, and Ryan Lasch, Jacob Cepis and Aaron Ness were the only multiple point getters.
Yale 3, Clarkson 2: Broc Little had a goal and an assist as with the win Yale moved into a 2nd place tie with Cornell. It is looking exceedingly likely that for the 2nd year in a row, ECAC Hockey will get 3 NCAA teams.
UNH 3, Providence 2: The Huskies, with a three point lead over BC and game in hand, have a big lead in Hockey East thanks to Paul Thompson, Mike Boresinok and Phil DeSimone.
RIT 5, AIC 3: RIT is tied with Air Force in Atlantic Hockey, but has an incredible 4 games in hand. Cameron Burt and Tyler Brenner each had 2 goals, while Adam Pleskach had two for AIC.
Sacred Heart 4, Canisius 2: Break up Sacred Heart. They started out 3-10-2, but since then have rattled off an 8 game unbeaten streak, with 7 of those being wins. They also have the longest unbeaten streak in the country.
Michigan 2, Ferris State 0: Luke Glendening had 2 second period goals and Bryan Hogan stopped all 22 Bulldog shots to get Michigan into a 6th place tie in the CCHA. They now have the 3rd longest unbeaten streak in the country. Dean Lombardi was not impressed.

Festler also had multiple points in that game for St. Cloud
