Power Rankings

1. Denver (16-6-4) (12-4-4) Up 2
With two strong games in Grand Forks last weekend, Marc Cheverie has launched himself into the Hobey discussion
2. Miami (18-4-6) (15-1-4) No Change
Is it any wonder that the goalies with the two highest save percentages anchor the #1 and #2 teams in the country.
3. Wisconsin (15-7-4) (11-6-3) Down 2
Not your [...]

Power Rankings: New #1

1. Wisconsin (14-6-4) (10-4-4) Up 3
With 3 points against Denver, Wisconsin takes over the top spot. I debated them and Miami for a long time, but finally settled on Wisconsin because (among other things) the Badgers lead the nation in scoring margin.
2. Miami (16-4-6) (13-1-4) No Change
The RedHawks haven’t lost a conference game in 3 [...]

Power Rankings

1. Denver (14-5-3) (10-3-3) No Change
Denver takes on Wisconsin this weekend in a marquee WCHA matchup
2. Miami (15-4-5) (12-1-3) Up 1
Miami gets swept by Robert Morris, then sweeps then CCHA co-leader Ferris State. Sometimes I don’t understand life.
3. Minnesota-Duluth (16-7-1) (12-5-1) Up 6
Quick, take a peek at who leads the WCHA, I’ll wait. Sure they [...]

Power Rankings Are Back!

It’s been awhile, eh? Before you get started reading this, you can take a peek at Fansided’s best posts of 2009. Although none of mine made it, so yeah, just skip it. The power rankings are much more fun to read.
1. Miami (13-2-5) (10-1-3) No Change
Miami didn’t play over the holidays, but I’m not going [...]

Power Rankings

Quite the shakeup at the top this week, as Miami and Denver swap places. A pair of midwest teams take the plunge, a couple of CCHA teams are on the rise, and ECAC Hockey is a hot mess.
1. Miami (13-2-5) (10-1-3) Up 1
Miami is unbeaten in their last 12 CCHA games.
2. Denver (11-5-2) (9-3-2) Down [...]

TCHB Power Rankings

For the third week in a row, the Pioneers find themselves atop the power rankings. The Sioux and RedHawks flip flop. Elsewhere, a Hockey East team makes a big surge, and some CCHA teams tumble.
1. Denver (10-4-2) (8-2-2) No Change
I’m going to assume the Pioneers missed Marc Cheverie. The Junior is 2nd nationally with a [...]
